Every family has a story. Become part of ours.

The NYCB story began in 1859 when Queens County Savings Bank became the first savings bank charted by the state of New York in the New York City borough of Queens. Our Family has grown through several mergers of like-minded financial institutions, many of which have served their local communities for decades like Roosevelt Savings Bank, established in 1895, The Roslyn Savings Bank established in 1875 - the first financial institution headquartered in Nassau County, New York, and Richmond County Savings Bank, established in 1886 to serve those living and working on Staten Island.

We rank 25th among the nation’s leading depositories, are one of the largest thrifts in the nation as well as one of the leading thrift depositories in most of the markets we serve, and we are the leading producer of multi-family mortgage loans in New York City.
