A Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for providing administrative support to the Talent Acquisition Unit. Effectively administers Talent Acquisition programs in accordance with established policies, procedures and legal requirements. May assist with recruiting, screening, pre-employment background screening and onboarding of applicants to fill positions within the Bank.
Assists employees and managers with the resolution of HR matters related to Talent Acquisition functions. Supports the implementation & ongoing administration of various HR policies & procedures. May assist with recruiting by sourcing and screening candidates, conducting first level interviews and recommending external and/or internal candidates in support of staffing needs. May administer and facilitate all facets of the Bank's pre-employment reference checks, drug testing; and background checks. Conducts new hire orientation, administers the bank's I-9 and E-Verify programs, and on-boarding processes as needed. May coordinate transfers, promotions, demotions and complement changes. May administer the Bank's H1-B Visa/Immigration Program. May research and respond to applicant, candidate and employee questions and concerns. Coordinates distribution and data response collection of various reporting for the Talent Acquisition area including complement data, management reporting, invoicing and other functions as needed. As required, travels to branches, departments and other Bank locations. Attends job fairs and professional events. Coordinates in-house events that support the Bank's employment programs. Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required. Where applicable and when performing the responsibilities of the job, employees are accountable to maintain Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and adhere to internal control policies and procedures.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources preferred. Two to five years of experience in HR related field.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Good knowledge of federal, state, and local laws pertaining to employment. PC Proficient, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills. Detail oriented and good organizational skills. Ability to communicate with various levels of staff and management. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to travel to various office and branch locations as required.
