A Retail Bank Sales and Service Coordinator works under minimal supervision, provides administrative and secretarial support to a department head and/or senior level officer. Duties and tasks are varied and complex, requiring broad and comprehensive experience, skill and knowledge of the Banks policies and practices. Serves as an administrative liaison with others inside and outside the Bank.
Serves as administrative liaison internally and outside the organization regarding issues affecting the Retail Bank Sales and Services Department activities. Communicates and interprets administrative and/or operating policies and procedures; makes recommendations for improvements. Compiles and analyzes moderately complex data and information. Generates and prepares complex records, statistics, and reports regarding the Retail Bank Sales and Service Department activities. Responds to internal and external telephone calls, inquiries and visitors with accurate, responsive and courteous customer service. Resolves routine and complex queries using judgment to refer only the most complex issues to another party. Generates and processes moderately complex correspondence, memoranda and presentation material. Initiates correspondence where necessary. Participates in and/or leads projects and activities specific to the department.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent; some college course work or certification preferred. Minimum five years experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a related support role in a financial institution.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and understanding of Retail Banking procedures, practices and policies. Good knowledge of standard office practices and procedures. Knowledge and ability to apply the fundamental concepts in Retail Banking.
