The Marketing Project Manager reports to the Director of Marketing and manages various marketing projects in support Bank strategic goals & objectives. Initiatives include; product support, new product introduction, deposit growth/maintenance programs as well as sales & service coordination and support. Resources utilized would include; journal ads, graphic standards development and application, branch signage and communication of goals. Manages the corporate partnerships to ensure the effective utilization of these resources in support of business development, employee recognition and charitable support.
Design logos, ads, flyers, posters, banners and other signage as assigned on a daily basis. Coordinate advertising and branding opportunities at various venues to support bank initiatives. Manage the effective dissemination of available assets at each venue in support of the established goals and objectives. This may include event planning /coordination, ticket utilization/distribution to events. Venues would include NYCB Live, Theater @ Westbury, Aviation Museum, SI Yankees, Barclays Center, LI Ducks and Queens College. Maintain effective an accurate ticket /event request system available to all employees of NYCB. Responsible for the design, development and production of journal ads and coordination of placement in support of social, civic and charitable efforts. Manage contribution process encompassing request, approval and fulfillment. Maintain records of contributions/requests and prepare and distribute quarterly report and analysis to CRA officer. Research and address invoice discrepancies as well as delinquent invoices. Review and reconcile monthly Department budget reports as requested (include comparison to Department GL and OBO). Gather and track Compliance/Legal approvals and prepare reports for auditing and compliance as needed. Oversee the coordination of vendors including media various media placement. Track monthly media schedules such as print, radio, cable, etc. Prepare and provide reports to Chief Marketing Officer and COO. Coordinate department's project list and bi-weekly marketing reports. Coordinate the Bank's participation in community, business and social events, such as: Chamber events, SIEDC Conference, Annual Toy Drive, etc. Coordinate the purchase, distribution and inventory control on promotional items, office supplies and equipment. Manage and schedule meetings. Represent the department on Compliance, ERM and Retails Management committees. Provide project support to Chief Marketing Officer/Director of Marketing and others throughout the bank in the timely execution of their assigned initiatives. Act as liaison and relay information to internal departments and external contacts. Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required. Where applicable and when performing the responsibilities of the job, employees are accountable to maintain Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and adhere to internal control policies and procedures.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing. Three to five years of professional marketing experience.
KNOWLEGDE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of general advertising and marketing principles. Working knowledge of Desktop publishing software for ad development. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher, Adobe Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Picture Manager. Professional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills. Detailed-oriented. Positive attitude. Ability to work independently.
