JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for providing guidance to the Mortgage Appraisal Assistants. Tracks and monitors appraisal work files. Assists the officers of the mortgage appraisal department, when necessary.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Assigns new file set-ups to the mortgage appraisal assistants. Assists Mortgage Appraisal Assistants with making contact between the appraiser and or the borrower.

Works with the Senior Reviewers on all appraisal assignments in process. Reviews appraisal job statuses with outside vendors on a daily basis.

Tracks file requests sent to record retention or files that are given out to mortgage origination personnel. Arranges with the record retention area for pickup of closed files along with preparing a spreadsheet and checking that storage boxes are properly labeled and file count is accurate.

Reviews all bills sent to accounting and that all errors and omissions policies and appraiser licenses are updated on department spreadsheets. Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required. Where applicable and when performing the responsibilities of the job, employees are accountable to maintain Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and adhere to internal control policies and Appraisal Policy and Appraisal Assistant procedures.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent.

Bachelor's degree preferred.

Minimum three years of banking and/or real estate experience.{KNOWLEDGE,

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent customer service skills.

Excellent organizational skills.

Detail oriented.

Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work assignments and meet deadlines.
