Maintains good understanding of underwriting requirements for business customers with cash management services.
Performs a review and documents the customer relationship for each application for new or limit increase requests.
Evaluates and provides initial approval, denial or recommendation for counter offer to management.
Conducts and documents an annual review of the business customer according to policy and provides approval, denial or revised limit recommendation to management for counter offer on limits.
Completes all required documentation accurately for review.
Ensures timely execution of the requests to meet or exceed the department’s service level agreement (SLA).
Gathers and evaluates all pertinent customer’s information to complete the underwriting and annual reviews.
Assesses risk with each application request by establishing a risk rating.
Completes daily updates to the tracking list of outstanding new applications and annual reviews.
Stays current on industry and best practices and makes recommendations as necessary.
Ensures that all required relationships have an annual review completed timely and prior to the due date.
Maintains relationships and effectively communicates with Cash Management, BSA, Loan Officers and Business Bankers.
As required, approves high limit increases for Mobile External Transfers and Mobile RDC requests.
As required, approves release of ACH files for ACH origination customers who exceed their daily limit
Maintains ACH and RDC customer files (electronic and paper).
Coordinates the scanning and emailing of documentation and approvals with various departments.
Performs quality control on all reviews conducted by the Underwriting Manager to ensure accuracy as well as identify and remedial errors.
Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
Where applicable and when performing the responsibilities of the job, employees are accountable to maintain Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and adhere to internal control policies and procedures.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Bachelor’s degree preferred in business related field or equivalent work experience.
Five years of cash management product and services or related retail banking financial services experience, such as treasury management or ACH and wires.
Knowledge of bank regulatory compliance rules including NACHA rules.
Knowledge of bank operational policies and procedures.
Knowledge of bank computer systems including hardware and software.
Computer literate with intermediate proficiency in internet navigation, word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
Strong time management and negotiation skills.
Excellent underwriting skills.
Excellent customer service, follow-up and problem solving skills.
Excellent analytical and decision making skills.
Self- starter able to work independently and adhere to priorities.
