The IT Audit Manager, under the supervision of the IT Audit Director and/or Chief Audit Executive, manages and supervises the local IT audit function (New York Or Cleveland). Assists the IT Auditor Director in effectively building the IT audit universe, performing risk assessments, and identifying resources required to develop the Annual IT Audit Plan. Maintains and administers the IT audit plan. Reviews and approves IT audit work papers; tracks outstanding IT audit observations; and evaluates IT audit staff.
Contribute to the building of the IT audit universe, perform risk assessments, and identify resources required to develop the Annual IT Audit Plan. Assist in the development of an IT audit plan that will include reviews of system development and deployment, operating systems, telecommunications, applications software, data and program security, data quality, program changes, business continuity, disaster recovery, and on-line banking. Focus on major risk areas and re-evaluate risk throughout the engagement to ensure significant risk areas are adequately and appropriately tested. Keep the IT Audit Director and/or Chief Audit Executive informed of changes in IT audit scope, budget and outstanding control issues on a regular and timely basis. Ensure IT audit procedures are designed to effectively and efficiently assess relevant controls to support an opinion for the engagement. Supervise the performance and completion of the IT audit procedures to provide reasonable assurance that all planned work is performed effectively and relevant control weaknesses are identified and reported.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA and/or CISA certification preferred. Eight to fifteen years IT audit experience in Financial Services Industry and/or Big 4 public Accounting; preferably community banking.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Familiarity with a heterogeneous environment, including mainframe, client server and PC platforms. Knowledge of potential threats to data security (fraud and abuse, error and loss, natural or man-made disasters). Knowledge of the risks associated with the digital communication and information systems (on-line databases, intranet, internet, e-commerce, computing cloud, etc.).
